I recently received a message from Tyne Bank Brewery asking if would be interested in exhibiting at their latest gallery showcase. Of course I was very interested and after hearing the details accepted the offer.
Next to the side of the river Tyne towards the Byker end the brewery is in an excellent location with a stage, lots of wall space and a very cool atmosphere. They have a bar football table and you can even play table tennis!
I was invited along with four other photographers and the theme was “Pride”. The other photographers are Oana (Tinyocw on Instagram), John Brookes (johnbrookes2021 on insta) , John Jobling (snaphappy1952) and Ian (ictimages). We all get our own space and the images are up for the month of September.
We had the launch night on Friday the 2nd September and it was a cracking night with plenty of people through the door to have a drink, a look at the exhibition and listen to the excellent India Arkin who was performing on the night. I would love it if you can get to the brewery to see the photographs by a bunch of talented and dedicated photographers. The Q bus even stops outside the door so no excuse!
To save too many newsletter emails I will also do my favourites in this blog. A very quiet week from the 15th to the 21st of August but here are my choices.
1 - little girl wearing a crown and a dragon outfit.
2 - Reporter getting ready to do his bit about the railway workers strike.
3 - Girl on the train
4 - I went to Durham to shoot with the amazing Thorn.
5 - 10. Had an excellent trip to Saltburn and got a few shots I was really pleased with. (All shots from that day are here.
Thanks so much for viewing - hope you find something you like.
