In an earlier post I mentioned that I wanted to do a lot more model portrait shoots this year and that has definitely been the case.
June was a busy time (as has most of the year tbh) and I thought I needed to point everyone in the right direction. The more people who see them the better right?

Early June I shot with Alexandra for the fourth time this year and we made three new sets. Alex is an absolute natural beauty and great fun to shoot with.
Take Your Time , Long Way Ahead , and Culture Wars .
Soon after I got to shoot with Ola, who I had only just met the day before while doing my ‘1000 portraits project’. Ola was great in what turned out to be a very easy going, casual shoot.
Just one set - Green Fairy Days .
My next shoot was with Laura. When I first asked her if she wanted to shoot, she said no as she was too nervous and ‘hated’ having her photo taken. After a couple of Instagram conversations she decided she wanted to get out of her ‘comfort zone’ and so we set a date.
Laura was great - very nervous to start with but a natural beauty and I love the images we got . We shot two sets - Punk Rock Hippy and Happy Daze .
A couple of weeks later the Hoppings were on and as a lot of you know I love shooting at the Hoppings. First up was Katelyn. She was someone else I had taken a portrait of for my ‘1000 portraits’ and she was just starting to do modelling. She has a great look and has a great mix of ‘alt girl’ and a love of fashion. She mixes it really well
.We shot three separate sets at the fair. Live And Die Rock’n’roll , Snake Shake , Blind Faith and Promises.
Next at the Hopping was an old favourite of mine. The wonderful Abby. We have shot together a few times but she hadn’t modelled since covid started so it was great to get her in front of the camera again.
We made four sets - Keep Your Light On, Mellow Yellow and Red, Sweet Lady and Hot Stuff.
Next was another massive favourite and possibly my most shot model. Betti and I used to shoot together on a very regular basis and then due to various circumstances we didn’t shoot for quite a few years. So it was awesome to actually get her in front of my camera again
We made three sets - Cafe Society (thank you to my favourite new cafe - Societe), It’s a Vinyl World (Thanks to RPM record shop for this one) and I’m Still Here.
Towards the end of June I got my second shoot with Megan. She has a distinctive and unique look - love her hair! Thank you to The Hancock pub for letting us shoot there.
We made four sets - Neon Days, At One, Take It Easy, and Can’t Believe.
My last shoot in June was with Katy. The first time we shot together she was very nervous, but we got some lovely images. The second time we shot together she was like a different person! She was oozing with confidence and I love the images we made.
Just one set but a lot of images - The Conversations Done.
If this proves popular I will do an update every month on all my model portraits shoots - let me know if that’s what you would like to see?
